Volunteers Needed!

We need YOU to help put on our 4th annual Renewable Energy Fair on August 9, 2008! Volunteers help make the Energy Fair the success it has become. AND, those who sign up for 3 hours get a FREE t-shirt and an invite for a Post Fair Volunteer Party!

Please consider volunteering for these areas:

Set Up and Take Down (Friday 6pm-10pm, Saturday 8am-11am, Saturday 9pm-‘til done)

  • Set up 10x10 tents
  • Marking vendor spaces
  • Setting up chairs in tents
  • Stringing banners on main stage
  • Vendor check in
  • Setting up booths


  • Booths (Saturday 11am-9pm)

  • REAP Booth – info and membership sales for REAP
  • Denali Green Tag Booth – info and sales of Denali Green Tags
  • T-shirt Booth – selling REAP t-shirts
  • Silent Auction – info and bid numbers
  • Children's Tent - activities, Iron-Ons, etc


  • Grounds (Saturday 11am-10pm)

  • Make rounds of fairgrounds for garbage and recyclables
  • Inform fairgoers where garbage and recycle bins are located


  • Workshop Facilitators (Saturday 11am-5pm)

  • Introduce workshop presenters
  • Have fair attendees sign in
  • Keep general count of attendees in respective tents
  • Keep track of equipment and secure at end of fair
  • Direct traffic flow at beginning and end of workshops
  • Direct fairgoers to keynote speaker at appropriate time

    What is REAP?

    Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) is a coalition of urban and rural and Alaska utilities, businesses, conservation and consumer groups, and Alaska Natives with an interest in developing Alaska's vast renewable energy resources.
