HOME ENERGY REBATE AND WEATHERIZATION PROGRAMS - AK Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) now has two programs to help Alaskans reduce energy bills to make homes more energy efficient.
     1. Under the HOME ENERGY REBATE PROGRAM homeowners who want to make their own energy efficiency improvements on their home can receive a rebate for some or all of their expenditures. The Home Energy Rebate Program has no income requirements.
     2. The expanded WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM is available to Alaskans who meet certain income and eligibility guidelines.
General information on both of these programs is also available by calling The Home Energy Rebate & Weatherization Hotline at 1-877-325-2508 (statewide except Anchorage). In Anchorage call 330-8300. To view AHFC Energy-Efficiency Programs Overview go to AHFC pdf
